Our story · 想い

More than a place to “experience Japanese culture.”

People come to Kyoto from all over the world. It is a truly wonderful city, full of history.

But what does it really mean to take home a genuine memory of your journey? What kind of experience stays in a child’s heart the longest?

We believe it’s the connection with the people who live here.

At ULU Village, there are local Kyoto kids. Why not play together? Why not cook a meal and sit down to eat it together?

That’s what ULU makes possible.

Eat, make and wear something Japanese — with locals, at our table.

Every experience is hands-on and taught in English by our Kyoto team. Start with a meal at our café, then move on to an experience of your choice.
